Empowerment
Issues and concerns regarding the recruitment and retention of underrepresented populations in higher education and addressing the educational needs of the homeless and foster children. Other topics include the Dream Act, community organizing, access to healthcare, and reducing violence in our communities.
Excellence in Education
Inclusion and accessibility, collaborative learning, technology innovations, universal design of instruction, learning communities, best practices, and recruitment and retention strategies.
Professional Development
Former KCP Future Faculty recipients, publishing in academia, advancing in higher education, and securing grants and funding.
