A Fundraiser Extravaganza for WSU African Dance Company
To Sangana “coming together”
Please join us Saturday February 9th 2pm, at the Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance, 4841 Cass Ave.
The WSU African dance company To Sangana will introduce our first annual fundraiser, the event! Featuring our own African village of mini workshops a Drum Jam Session, African/Hip-Hop dance, our own “To Sangana Treat Café” serving African food, with a make & take craft class. In addition to enjoying our village, shop for fun & unique gifts at our marketplace-bazaar, experience a session of storytelling for children, and a raffle for 3 fabulous theme baskets.
The company will captivate you with our concert “Kimia” (peace) at 3:30 in the Maggie Allesee Theatre.
Tickets for: To Sangana Treat Café (African food) and the concert Kimia are $20.00
Mini Workshops: $5.00 (2:00-2:30 African/Hip-Hop, make & take craft class, and the 2:35-3:05 Drum Jam Session)
If you are unable to attend donations will be respectfully accepted. The company is working towards attending the Mabina dance and drum conference/camp in Albuquerque, New Mexico this May.
