This training session will focus on the special protections afforded to prisoners when they are to be enrolled into a human participant research protocol.  The federal regulations found in 45 CFR 46 Subpart C are very specific about when these subjects can be enrolled, the responsibilities of investigators in protecting them from harm, and the requirements for IRB review and approval. These will be the major discussion points in this training.
