The Office of Environmental Health & Safety is pleased to host the OSHA Laboratory Standard training. This session addresses chemical safety and is required once for all employees who work in a lab with hazardous chemicals.

Topics include:

• Contents of the OSHA Lab Standard (29 CFR 1910.1450)
• WSU Chemical Hygiene Plan
• Physical and health hazards of chemicals
• Safety equipment in the laboratory
• Safe handling and storage of chemicals
• Material Safety Data Sheets and other information sources
• Personal protective equipment

The next session will be held on Friday, August 7 from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at 3125 Scott Hall.
