The annual Martin Luther King, Jr. tribute luncheon is a community event to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The luncheon has featured well known guest speakers such as bestselling author James McBride, Congresswoman Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, Congressman John Conyers, Judge Damon J. Keith and Rev. Dr. C.T. Vivian. The 2008 luncheon honored Rev. Dr. Charles G. Adams. This year’s luncheon will take place Friday, January 16, 2009 at The Max M. Fisher Music Center. We are honored to welcome Susan L. Taylor, Editor Emerita of Essence Magazine, as this year’s keynote speaker. More details to follow soon.
