Location: Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium - Wayne Law
On March 26, 2010, The Journal of Law in Society, a publication of Wayne State University Law School, will host its annual symposium, titled "Rebuilding the Post-Industrial City." The Journal, in its Detroit home, is uniquely situated to observe both the decline and the promise of Detroit's future. Detroit, as Time Magazine and the New York Times have both said, is a bellwether for the nation. The decline that Detroit has been experiencing for the last 30 years has finally achieved national significance and so the national eye turns to us again to provide solutions and examples of how to rise up from post-industrial decay. Panels include right-sizing, attracting the middle class, economic development and environmental concerns.
This event is free and open to the public.
