Judge Takaaki Shintaku, of the Sendai Distrist Court of Japan, will be making a presentation on Oct 27, 2010 at 12:15pm in the Faculty Lounge, 3rd floor. He will address the Saiban-in (Lay Judge) system, its purpose, history and potential pitfalls.
