ISAAC is pleased to announce that the Inaugural Spring Issue of African American Learners Journal of ISAAC is launched. The journal is now available on the Research Page of the web site. Thanks to the Co-Editors Dr. Gloria Boutte, Professor at the University of South Carolina, Columbia and Dr. Hakim Rashid, Associate Professor at Howard University, Washington, D.C. and the CORD Publications Committee for their diligent work in the creation of the journal and this issue. Grateful acknowledgement is made of the mentorship provided by Dr. James C. Young, Professor at Clark Atlanta University and Dr. V.P. Franklin, Professor at the University of California, Riverside and Editor of the Journal of African American History that made this issue possible.
The Inaugural Issue of the Journal is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Asa G. Hilliard, III, Fuller E. Calloway Professor of Urban Education at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Hilliard transitioned from Cairo, Egypt in 2007.
