Concentration/Curriculum day offers an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn about the Wayne State University School of Social Work’s unique concentrations and curriculum design for the advanced year of the M.S.W. program.

Faculty and students will describe and discuss the Interpersonal Practice (IP) Concentration and the Concentration on Innovation in Community, Policy, and Leadership (I-CPL). Within the IP Concentration, the following three Practice Theory Tracks will be discussed:  Cognitive/Behavioral, Family Systems, and Psychodynamic. Within the I-CPL Concentration, the following two platforms will be discussed: Leadership and Community Building/Development.

Who should attend:

  • All senior B.S.W. students who are applying for admission or admitted to the MSW Program
  • First year Full-time M.S.W. students preparing for the advanced year curriculum
  • Second year Part-time M.S.W. Students preparing for the advanced year curriculum
  • All prospective students interested in the Wayne State University M.S.W. program and who want to learn more about the advanced year concentrations/curriculum
