The Greening of Detroit is planting 540 trees on East Jefferson Avenue from Downtown Detroit to Alter Road, with a generous donation from the Cotton family. The first scheduled event will take place on November 7th when 135 trees will be planted. 270 volunteers are needed to assist the Greening in this event which takes place from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon.
