Strolling has roots in the traditional National PanHellenic Council or “Divine Nine” Greek Lettered organizations. Today, many Latino and Multicultural Greek Lettered Organizations have added their own nuances to strolling by incorporating cultural dances like Salsa, Bachata and Bhangra.

Strolling functions by having members of a particular Greek Lettered Organization line up one after another.  They organization members then begin to move forward through an event performing the same synchronized movements to music. They perform the moves many times over, alternating rhythmically.   The practice of strolling is a very organized event, as members in a line know every step of the choreographed stroll.

This year’s event brings together members of the NPHC, MGC and Independent Greek Lettered organizations in unity competing for title of best strollers on the Wayne State University Yard!

Join us November 30, 2012 for the most highly anticipated event this fall!
