Attendees at this special event will learn about the Wayne State University School of Social Work’s curriculum for the advanced year of the M.S.W. program so that students may choose a field of practice in which to concentrate their graduate studies. Faculty and students will describe and discuss the Interpersonal Practice (IP) Concentration and the Concentration on Innovation in Community, Policy, and Leadership (I-CPL). Within the IP Concentration, the following three Practice Theory Tracks will be discussed: 
Cognitive/Behavioral, Family Systems, and Psychodynamic. Within the I-CPL Concentration, the following two platforms will be discussed: Leadership and Community Building/Development.

Who should attend:

  • All senior BSW students who are applying for admission or admitted to the MSW Program
  • First year Full-time MSW students preparing for the advanced year curriculum
  • Second year Part-time MSW Students preparing for the advanced year curriculum
  • All prospective students interested in the Wayne State University MSW program and who want to learn more about the advanced year concentrations/curriculum
