The Department of Neurosurgery if delighted to host Dr. Claudia Robertson as our next Gurdjian-Thomas Visiting Professor, continuing our tradition of advancing neurosurgical education in our community. The title of her talk will be Management of Traumatic Brain Injury. This Gurdjian-Thomas lecture will coincide with the 44th Annual Meeting of the Michigan Chapter for the Society of Neurosciences.

Dr. Claudia Robertson is currently Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine. She is also Medical Director of the Neurosurgical ICU at Ben Taub General Hospital, which is a Level 1 trauma center in Houston, Texas.

She received her MD degree from Baylor College of Medicine, and did internship and residency training in internal medicine at Georgetown University-Washington VAH. She also completed a fellowship in critical care medicine at West Virginia University Hospital prior to joining the faculty at Baylor College of Medicine.

Her research interests are in the acute care management of patients with traumatic brain injury.
