Celebrating its sixth year of existence, the Wayne State Wednesday Farmers Market starts the first Wednesday of June and goes through the last Wednesday of October, 11 am to 4 pm. It is located in front of Prentis Hall, and across Cass Ave from the Detroit Public Library main branch.

The market features Detroit-based growers and food producers and farmers from the surrounding region. Come get fruits, berries, vegetables, herbs, honey, baked goods, desserts, hot lunches, and more.

Weekly nutrition and food demos will also be held, with tastings--Wellness Warriors, sign up now and get points! Youth performers will offer street theater, music, and spoken word acts!

The market accepts cash, Bridge Card, Double Up Food Bucks, and WIC Project FRESH and Market (Senior) FRESH coupons.

Have lunch, grab a show or an educational workshop, shop for dinner, and meet your friends all in one fun place!
