Join us at Scott Hall on the Medical Campus to view the live Webinar presented by the WIRB-Copernicus Group.

About this Webinar:

As the clinical trials industry becomes increasingly electronic, the movement away from a paper-based consent process seems natural and reflective of a new patient-centered approach to research. Are there benefits to its use, aside from the obvious? Is the eConsent revolution simply a novelty, or can we harness this powerful technology to improve the conduct of clinical trials?

Join Lindsay McNair, M.D., M.P.H., M.S. Bioethics, Chief Clinical Research Officer for the WIRB-Copernicus Group, and esteemed ethicist Arthur L. Caplan, Ph.D., Head of the Division of Bioethics at New York University Langone Medical Center, for an exploration of the business and ethical imperatives driving the adoption of eConsent. Attendees will learn about the industry's leading eConsent solution, provided by WCG and Mytrus®, which is an internet-based iPad® application that enables real-time visibility into site screening activity and document version control, and provides a mechanism for remote and risk-based clinical monitoring.

Presenter: Noted ethicist Arthur L. Caplan, Ph.D., of New York University

Cost: Complimentary, limited seating

Duration : 1 hour (3:00 pm - 4:00 pm)
