Health disparities are the defining public health issue of our time and is affecting the health of many in Southeastern Michigan and across the country. This conference serves to celebrate student achievement in health disparities research and conjoin together professionals from all levels to start a conversation about innovations and solutions that promote health equity. It will also provide interested students with a tremendous opportunity to network with professionals in the field and partake in health disparities research of their own.

Joining us as our Keynote Speaker is Dr. Keith Norris, M.D., Ph.D., from UCLA's School of Medicine, and Opening Remarks will be given from Wayne State's Provost, Keith Whitfield, Ph.D.

We are currently accepting abstracts for students who want to present their health disparities research and the deadline is on December 20th, 2016. Registration is also open for viewers along with those who wish to have an exhibit at our open house. Volunteers are also welcomed.
