Meet the artist: Wojtek Sawa talks about his project, The Wall Speaks: Voices of the Unheard

The Polish-American artist, Wojtek Sawa specializes in participatory installations during which viewers co-create both the content and the image of the exhibition.

In his presentation Wojtek Sawa will introduce his project The Wall Speaks: Voices of the Unheard, which will open on March 31 in Bank Suey Gallery in Hamtramck.

According to the artist, the project seeks to build bridges between past and present, and between various communities in Hamtramck by bridging experiences of Polish children and teenagers of World War II with those of children and teenagers in the war torn Middle East today.

The artist will discuss how his art relates to history, social action, and current events.

This talk is free and open to the public. Sponsored by the WSU Department of Classical and Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures.
