In cooperation with Turning Point Services to End Domestic and Sexual Violence, the Libraries will host the Jane Doe survivor quilt in the UGL atrium. During Turning Point's annual Take Back the Night March and Rally, survivors write on swatches and attach them to "Jane Doe," a blank and voiceless figure at the march. A Turning Point volunteer then transforms these swatches into beautiful works of art speaking many voices and experiences. Turning Point’s mission is to provide programs and resources that enable victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault to regain control of their lives. The quilt will be on display throughout the month of April.
