The Detroit Orientation Institute at Wayne State University engages diverse participants in immersive experiences to understand our region's past, present and future. The Detroit 101 program includes a bus tour of neighborhoods throughout greater downtown, the University District and more, engaging with community leaders along the route. The tour will be led by Jeanette Pierce (Detroit Experience Factory). 

The program will conclude with lunch and a group dialogue facilitated by Graig Donnelly (WSU Office of Economic Development & TechTown Detroit). Featured guests joining the discussion include:

Shaffwan Ahmed (Global Detroit, Detroit Revitalization Fellow)
Don Jones (New Economy Initiative)
Sarida Scott (Community Development Advocates of Detroit)
