Title: Global and local regularity of elliptic equations

Abstract: We will discuss the interplay between the global solutions and special solutions to the theoretial study of the regularity theory of particular differential equations. We will exam a class of Liouville type theorems and their consequences to the regularity of the equations. The talk shall be accessible to graduate students in mathematics.
