The Wayne State University School of Social Work and the Social Work Suicide Research Group invite you to join us for a lecture, Coroners, Indigenous Australians, and the Easy Finding of Suicide presented by Belinda Carpenter, PhD, Assistant Dean (Research), Professor of Law and Director of Research in the School of Justice at Queensland University of Technology and  Gordon Tait, PhD, Professor of Education, Early Childhood and Inclusive Education at Queensland University of Technology. The presentation will focus on suicide among Aboriginal Australians and explore how the higher-than-normal Aboriginal suicide rates may well also be a function of coronial decision-making practices.
