The Department of Classical and Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures and the WSU Global Studies Program are hosting a new Poetry Circle. Join us to read poetry from around the world in the original language and in English translation. All discussion is in English. All are welcome!


February 5: Poetry chorus “Amore” (love): Bring your favorite short poems about love to share (or excerpts) in any language with an English translation

February 12: No Poetry Circle. Join us for our Global Pancake Workshop from March 3-5 in Mano 470 and 408

February 19: Poetics of Chinese poetry

February 26: “A Julia de Burgos” by Julia de Burgos, Puerto Rican poet
