This is a careers event sponsored by the Translational Neuroscience Program in the School of Medicine and the BEST [Broadening Experiences in Scientific Training] Program in the Graduate School.  Dr. Brooke Raven received her PhD in chemistry from Wayne State in 2014 under the mentorship of Dr. Tiffany Mathews.  She is currently employed as a senior analytical scientist at Ash Stevens, located nearby in Riverview, Michigan. Dr. Raven opted out of taking a postdoc after completing her doctorate and will discuss how this training choice impacted her career options.  A Native American, Dr. Raven will also talk about the role that diversity has played in her career path and opportunities.

Light refreshments will be served.
