Do you want to affect how your Gen Ed course will be assessed by the General Education Oversight Committee (GEOC) in the future?  On August 27, 2018, the GEOC will be working with a visiting assessment expert to adapt a national rubric to Wayne State's context and needs, and your participation and input are key.

If you offer or participate in a General Education course in the Social Inquiry focus area or are considering offering one in the future, the General Education Oversight Committee wants you to participate in a 2-hour workshop. Together we'll work to align real assignments from WSU SI courses with a national rubric and adapt the rubric as needed to our context. Then we'll pilot the rubric in Fall 2018 and Winter 2019 to see whether it gives us useful information about student learning in SI.

Please RSVP to join us and provide your input into our developing Gen Ed assessment process.
