Dear Colleagues,

We are very pleased to invite you to the fourth annual Fall Symposium presented by the Researchers of Biobehavioral Health in Urban Settings Today (RoBUST) at Wayne State University. The RoBUST transdisciplinary initiative has grown to include over 60 faculty representing a range of departments and disciplines across the Wayne State campus. The symposium will take place Friday September 28th, 2018 at McGregor Memorial Conference Center located on the Wayne State Campus. This year’s theme is “New Methods in Biobehavioral Health Research.”

Over the course of the day, there will be a series of keynotes from leaders in the field who work with biobehavioral health interventions initiatives across the nation, including Drs. Munmun De Choudhury of Georgia Tech (“Employing Social Media to Improve Mental Health: Opportunities, Challenges, and Lessons Learned"), David W. Wetter of University of Utah ("Tobacco-Related Health Inequities: Social Determinants and Precision of mHealth”), and Elizabeth Shirtcliff of Iowa State University ("Riding the Physiological Roller-Coaster: How Life Alters Stress Responsive Physiological Systems").
