Graduate Research Symposium (GRS) is an annual event since 2006 where Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) graduate students present their research in front of invitees and peers. It is a small scale conference with the following goals:

  • Improve the quality and visibility of ongoing research in the department
  • Create a networking opportunity between participants
  • Create a platform for easy sharing of ideas and feedbacks among peer researchers

This event will also serves as a rehearsal for the final year doctoral candidates and near future conference attendees.

In addition to all the faculty members and graduate students of the ISE department, invitees of this event typically are

  • Two keynote speakers from either academia or industry
  • Few guests from industry
  • Prospective applicants to ISE graduate program
  • Anyone interested about ISE research
