Aanii, or welcome, to all students, teachers, staff, and guests! The Native American Student Organization invites you the first event to kick of Native American Heritage Month. The event begins with ceremonial smudging and a territorial acknowledgement of the indigenous people's that called, and still call, Detroit home. Three of NASO's members will lead the discussion based on their academic research they presented at the American Indian Student Association Conference in 2018. Some topics include the FAB Four statues, boarding schools, and President Trump. Afterwards, there will be a Q&A period.
