Join School of Business Lecturer Gary Shields as he covers the basics of pitching and the 3 Ms of successful pitching—market, management and money. This workshop will help you craft a pitch that meets the judging criteria of the STEAM Challenge from format, timing and the theme of Energize Detroit! Even if you haven’t registered for the STEAM Challenge yet, feel free to join us. There will be an opportunity to ask questions as well as connect with other teams at the end.

The STEAM challenge brings interdisciplinary student teams together to pitch ideas to solve real problems in Detroit. Teams will identify a real-world problem or issue that affects the city and suggest an idea for a project-based solution that uses an interdisciplinary approach. This year, the theme is Energize Detroit: energizing our city by empowering our mental and physical fitness and wellbeing. Need help or have questions?
