Take a study break at the planetarium on study day!

We're hosting free full dome film showings throughout the day.  Just bring your Wayne State ID with you. Each film is about 30 minutes long.

11:05 am : Oasis in Space

Embark on a startling and beautiful voyage through our universe, galaxy, and Solar System, in search of water-a key ingredient for life on Earth.

1:05 pm : Dynamic Earth

Dynamic Earth explores the inner workings of Earth’s great life support system: the global climate. With visualizations based on satellite monitoring data and advanced supercomputer simulations, this cutting-edge production follows a trail of energy that flows from the Sun into the interlocking systems that shape our climate: the atmosphere, oceans, and the biosphere.

2:05 pm: Black Holes

Black Holes takes you on a fully immersive journey through one of the most mystifying, awe-inspiring phenomena in the universe: a black hole. Where do they come from? Where do they lead to? How do we find them? Is there one on Earth’s horizon?

Seating is first come first seated.

The planetarium is on the lower level of Old Main, room 0209.
