Topic:

“Construction of Effective Ritual for Community

Integration after Trauma-African Experience”

 

Objectives:

  1. Increase awareness of medical/psychiatric consequences of conflict and Human Rights Violations (HRV) in sub-Saharan Africa.
  2. Increase familiarity with ritual in general and specific African conflict resolution rituals in particular.
  3. Experience ritual and how ritual may be used to model community narratives and facilitate healing of broken relationships.
