What is KORU? * Evidence-based curriculum designed for teaching mindfulness, meditation, and stress management * Koru Mindfulness program was developed at Duke University Benefits of Mindfulness Practice * Reduces stress, worry and fear * Increases regulation of emotions * Grows compassion, self-awareness, and perspective * Improves working memory capacity * Enhances ability to pay attention * Improves executive decision making * Increases quality of life KORU Program * Four, 75-minute classes * Small group instruction * Class includes short opening meditation, check-in, mind-body skill, mindfulness meditation practice Want more information? Whether it’s by reducing stress, improving sleep, increasing focus, or improving relationships, research shows mindfulness works. The Warrior ; Suicide Prevention group is pleased to sponsor a free meditation workshop series. Group meets weekly, starting 02/13/19, at 3:30. Sessions runs 3:30 - 4:45 PM on 02/13/19, 02/20/19, 02/27/19, and 03/06/19 in SCB dance room 020.
