Join us for a talk by Padmaja Rao of Wayne State University.

This talk will give you a glimpse into the ancient, incredibly complex and mystical spiritual roots of yoga, which have largely been de-linked from the $66 billion “yoga” industry that Americans know. Yoga is infinitely more than a physical practice; it is an expression of many of the tenets of Hinduism, developed over millennia. Yoga as a means to enlightenment is central to Hinduism and different aspects of it have influenced religious and spiritual practices of societies throughout the world.

Free and open to the public

Light refreshments will be served!

Sponsored by the WSU Global Studies Program and the WSU Religious Studies Program.
