Jacob Cohen is a Partner at Detroit Venture Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm in downtown Detroit, which he joined at the fund’s inception in November 2010.  Cohen also manages venture capital investments for Dan Gilbert (DVP’s largest investor and founding partner).  His current board seats include StockX, 100 Thieves, WSC, Genius, GuardHat and others.

Cohen's experience as an entrepreneur includes his role as co-founder and CEO of Ugrub.com (formerly eatblue.com at University of Michigan).  While in grad school, he led technology investments for the Wolverine Venture Fund in Ann Arbor.  He is a proud Wolverine, holding an MBA, Law degree, and Bachelors degree, all from the University of Michigan.
