The Office of the Vice President for Research is pleased to host the Research Development seminar series. Seminars are free but registration is required.

This seminar, Author - Owner - Inventor: Who’s Who in Research, will take place Thursday, April 11, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 5057 Woodward, 6th Floor, Conference Room A.

Ownership, authorship and inventorship are intertwined in academia. However, each has a different criteria and impact on the conduct, collaboration, dissemination and impact of research. This seminar will help you navigate the academic and legal boundaries of the related but yet distinct outcomes of your research endeavors and to avoid the pitfalls and reap the benefits! "

The seminar will be presented by Dr. Joan Dunbar, associate vice president for technology commercialization at Wayne State University.
