Genomics@Wayne is pleased to invite you to the 2019 Kick-off event on Friday, September 13, 9 am -12 pm, IBio. The goal of the G@W Kick-off is to bring together the diverse members of the genomics community at Wayne State to foster dialog and promote collaboration. Our mission is to foster and accelerate growth of Next Generation Genomics in the state of Michigan by enhancing communication and collaboration of researchers, clinicians and educators within the University and our surrounding community.
Keynote presentation @ 9:30: "Defining Precision for Precision Medicine - a 2019 view from the trenches" Dr. Jun Li, Ph.D., Professor of Human Genetics, Professor & Associate Chair for Research of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics at the University of Michigan and Co-Director, Michigan Center for Single-Cell Genomic Data Analytics.
Poster session: We encourage each laboratory to present a "group poster" that gives an overview of genomics projects ongoing in that lab. Students and post-docs are also invited to present research posters that will be eligible for awards.
Light refreshments will be served.
Registration is free, but space is limited. The registration deadline has been extended.
