2019 Detroit Digital Inclusion Summit
This event is in the past.
Join Detroit residents, public servants, community leaders and civic-technologists for the 2019 Detroit Digital Inclusion Summit.
According to the American Community Survey, Detroit is the least connected city in the country. According to the Federal Communications Commission, forty percent of Detroit residents and more than seventy percent of school-age children lack broadband internet access. Among other areas, the digital divide directly impacts economic development, healthcare and education. To add insult to injury, next year’s Census will be conducted online.
Nationally, October 7th launches the start of Digital Inclusion Week. Cities all across America will be working together to figure out ways to collaboratively eliminate their respective divides. Join Detroit residents, civic leaders, and technologists at the Industry Innovation Center on October 7th for the 2019 Detroit Digital Inclusion Summit.
Food and drink will be provided!
