Please join the Provost and colleagues for the second annual town hall to discuss the AI, Big Data and Analytics Ecosystem at Wayne State University. The event will start at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, in the Lear Auditorium at the Mike Ilitch School of Business. During this town hall, participants will discuss our progress and your needs in this fast-growing field.

With leadership by Ratna Babu Chinnam, Ph.D., and Patrick Gossman, Ph.D., Wayne State launched a new AI, Big Data and Analytics Initiative last year. Through a cluster hire based on faculty proposals, we recruited nine new scholars across the university to strengthen our ecosystem; these cluster hires started this fall. We have also invested in new computing platforms and secured additional grant funding to strengthen our grid and central computing facilities for research. Our goal is to create interdisciplinary synergies across campus that will further enhance our ecosystem to support education, scholarship and research.

Please come and learn what Wayne State has to offer and what is under development in this exciting area. Share your input and hear from some of our academic colleagues on their pursuits and successes, and meet the new cluster hires in big data and analytics. The program will begin with short talks from select colleagues and will be followed by an open discussion session and a reception.
