Your network is important not just for research productivity and external letters of recommendation for promotion and tenure/ESS but also as a resource for advice and support on your career journey. Join Associate Provost Annmarie Cano for an interactive session to explore the concept of mentoring networks and learn how to build a healthy network. Come of all or part of this session. This session is co-sponsored with Office for Teaching and Learning.

By attending this session, you will be able to:

  1. Describe the differences between different types of people in your mentoring network (e.g., mentors, sponsors)
  2. Describe the benefits of developing your mentoring network
  3. Identify the gaps in your network
  4. Create a plan to build your network
