Title: An Introduction to Neural Networks (part 2)

Abstract: In my last talk I sketched a proof of Neural Networks as Universal Approximators of continuous functions uniformly on compact supports. In this talk I shall talk about the algorithm of computing the parameters in a Neural Network. It is more or less a generalization of the least square method. Again it has nothing to do with probability and statistics which will come in the later studies. So even though this is a statistics seminar, it is actually a seminar on approximation theory.
