Webinar Training Topic: Legislative Advocacy

This webinar was developed for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) interested in learning more about policy advocacy. Throughout this webinar, you will develop an understanding of how to start your own policy advocacy and policy skills, how to effectively navigate the political landscape, and how to participate in the process of making substantial changes for the DSP workforce.  

The Legislative Advocacy module was written by Mark McWilliams, Attorney and Rachel Huddleston, Communications Associate, who are recognized leaders in advocacy on behalf of people with disabilities. Mark and Rachel both work at the Michigan Protection & Advocacy Services, Inc. in Lansing.

 

Target Audience

Direct Support Professionals, Home Help Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Paraprofessionals, People with Disabilities and Family Members.
