The Office of the Vice President for Research is pleased to offer the Research Development seminar series for WSU faculty, chairs & directors, postdoctoral trainees & graduate students, and administrators. Seminars are free but registration is required.

This seminar, "Sub-Award Contracts … Vendor Contracts … Material Transfer Agreements … Oh! The ties that bind us!" will take place Thursday, February 13, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the Margherio Conference Center located in Scott Hall.

This seminar will present an overview of the kinds of contracts typically utilized by investigators to successfully execute their research. Topics that will be included: creating sub-awards agreements with collaborating institutions; contract amendments; sub-awards to foreign institutions; vendor contracts; material transfer agreements and affirmation memos, and more. Attendees will come away from the seminar with a better understanding of contract requirements, why it can take unexpectedly longer than anticipated to issue a contract, and what PIs can do to help the process along.
