Join the Department of Communication's Journalism Institute for Media Diversity for a panel with media professionals on podcasting. 

Panel includes:

Cynthia Lashawn Lee is a multimedia journalist from Michigan State University School of Journalism. Cynthia is the host and producer for The Lounge Podcast, which is focused on society and culture which she started in 2016.

Bryce Huffman is a reporter and broadcast producer for Michigan Radio NPR. Last year, he started and hosted a podcast called Same Same Different. The show is all about navigating this world as a person from a marginalized community and dealing with the feeling of being an "other." He has since done a series of live events to promote the podcast

Erin Allen is a director for the the Detroit Podcast Festival, an annual series of live storytelling and podcasting events. Erin curates and narrates audio installations and produces events with Framed by WDET, an audio-visual project featuring Metro Detroit cultural communities.  She also works in communications with People in Education, an arts and education project of Allied Media Projects. Her personal projects include the Radio Campfire listening event series and the “Stop Requested” podcast about Detroit transit.
