The Student Pharmacists Diversity Council is hosting a seminar in intersectionality for all students in WSU Applebaum. The speaker is Associate Dean of College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Professor of Sociology Heather Dillaway.

Intersectionality is defined as the interconnected nature of how people receive health care based on social categorizations such as race, ethnicity, sex, gender, income and education. The influence of these things determines the type and quality of health care that an individual may receive. This influence is seen not only in pharmacy but also in other health care fields.
