"Substance Use, Pregnancy, and Public Health:

How Technology Can Change Everything"


Objectives:


  1. Describe the prevalence and consequences of prenatal substance use, along with the limitations of current responses.
  2. Identify ways that technology can address these limitations while also opening new possibilities for interventions as well as public health science.
  3. Describe the results of multiple clinical trials of computer-delivered interventions for substance use in pregnancy.
  4. Specify long-term options for leveraging technology’s potential in public health science.
