Seventh annual Lipids@Wayne Symposium
This event is in the past.
Lipids@Wayne, a forum for exchange of research ideas, methods and knowledge in lipid research, is pleased to sponsor the seventh annual Lipids@Wayne Symposium on May 13 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The symposium will be held in the Student Center Ballroom (Room 265) on the main campus of Wayne State University.
This symposium will address the vital roles of lipids in cellular processes required for normal physiological function. Perturbation of lipid metabolism contributes to numerous pathologies, including cancer and cardiovascular, metabolic and neurological disorders. We invite you to participate in this exploration of the lipid frontier. Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are welcome to share their research in both the oral and poster sessions.
This symposium will include a plenary session with two invited speakers and four speakers selected from submitted abstracts, a flash talk session featured by six three-minute talks, a poster session and a keynote address. Monetary prizes will be awarded to the best selected oral presenter from the plenary session and the best three poster presenters.
The event is free to attend, but an RSVP is required. Click to register and/or submit an abstract now.
Abstract submissions for oral presentations are due by April 1 at 5 p.m. The deadline for general registration and poster abstract submission is May 1 at 5 p.m.
