An evening reception in the atrium of the Walter Reuther Library, on Wayne State University's campus in midtown Detroit. View our exhibit charting the history of Merrill Palmer and its impact on Detroit. Light refreshments included.

Panels summarize multiple themes of Merrill Palmer's history, including:

  • The Daring Experiment
  • Science for Change
  • Exclusion & Inclusion

Dr. Kyle Ciani, Professor, Department of History at Illinois State University, will provide remarks. Dr. Ciani specializes in the histories of women and gender across the Americas and has written about the women of the Merrill-Palmer School.
