"Time Management: Enhancing Approaches to Collaborations and Team Gatherings"

At the conclusion of Time Management: Enhancing Approaches to Collaborations and Team
Gatherings, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify activities, processes, and behaviors that impede progress in meetings (knowledge)
  2. Describe the necessary elements of successful meetings (comprehension) and;
  3. Outline a meeting agenda (to include tools and activities) focused on outcomes (analysis)

Leah Robinson

Leah Robinson, Ph.D. is the Director of Academic Support in the School of Medicine at Wayne
State University. A performance improvement specialist, Dr. Robinson created and managed
retention and intervention programs for undergraduate, post-degree, and graduate student
populations including McNair Scholars, first-generation college, athletes, probation, summer
bridge, medical, and second language learners. 

Dr. Robinson is uniquely adept in identifying program, process, and policy problems, conducting
needs assessments, developing, designing, implementing, and evaluating solutions. She
seamlessly integrates technological solutions with evidence-based practices and has facilitated
numerous workshops on interactive teaching approaches, mobile technologies, and workplace
climate and culture. She has secured teaching, technology, and educational grants to explore the
use of mobile devices in medical education, foreign language retention, concept mapping, and
diagnostic feedback for college writing. She initiated and founded African Americans in Higher
Education (AFAMHED) listserv that has now migrated to social media with more than 21,000
followers. Dedicated to student success, Dr. Robinson leverages teaching, advising, and
coaching experience with various student populations to better accommodate the demands for
diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and classroom.
