Exploring Michigan Department of Health & Human Services Careers
Careers That Make A Difference!
The Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS) employs thousands of professionals in various areas, public health, human services, and social science, just to name a few. Career Services is sponsoring Exploring Michigan Department of Health & Human Services Careers to give students the opportunity to speak to WSU alumni and MDHHS professionals to learn more about careers with the State of Michigan.
Join this interactive session with a variety of staff to answer questions related to their positions within MDHHS. A Child Protective Services worker will share a day in the life as a CPS/Foster Care Worker; a Public Health Consultant and WSU alum will share a typical day within DHHS as well as answering any questions for our Public Health Students; and an Assistance Payment Worker, also a WSU alum, will share information on the Assistance Payment Worker position.
Also attending this session will be Human Resource personnel Dorris Crandall and Samantha Ruhl, who will share information on MDHHS including how to apply, internships, benefits, and interviewing tips.
