A common societal issue, microagressions are brief and commonplace derogatory remarks made toward groups of people, usually those who are culturally marginalized. Whether intentional or unintentional, these remarks are hurtful and have a lasting impact. In this session, attendees will learn best practices for responding to these remarks while also identifying them in verbal, behavioral, and environmental contexts.
