RSVP is closed.
The International Lunch and Learn Series is a special event hosted by Wayne State University to celebrate International Education Week in which WSU faculty will lead interactive conversations with students, staff, and other faculty about issues that are impacting the global community today.
Democratic Norms, Identity Politics and Studying Abroad:
What challenges do students of color and first-generation students face when studying abroad? How do we appropriately document experiences abroad without being invasive or oppressive? How should we challenge the normalization of oppression as visitors in a host nation? Join Dr. Ronald Brown from the Political Science department for a discussion about these questions and other matters relating to navigating identity abroad.
This event is part of International Education Week 2020!
International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education that focuses on the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. The goal is to prepare American students for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.
